A camping camp with tents for geographers in 2012?

September 16, 2011

We’re very excited about our hostel based Geography Camp in November, but are already thinking about something bigger and warmer for 2012.

Bringing together a large number of geographers to sleep under the stars, share camp fires, go on walks, share a keg or beer and have some talks/debates/discussions sounds like it would be a great thing to start. Think Latitude/Hay but for geographers… and not nearly so big. Not only would it be fun, but a great opportunity for informal networking, sharing ideas and developing cool stuff.

If we tried to organise something very affordable and family friendly in May/June of 2012 would you be interested in coming along?

Sounds fun. A Cornish location would be brilliant!

I’m quite interested, but I prefer the US. I’m in California. Oh well…

I’m a teacher, so the last half of June would be prime. I’m not in the UK, but I would fly to attend.
