While ‘deep’ geographies can refer to a physical landscape, they are also those geographies that we find absorbing and involved, profound in feeling, vast and rich. Closely linked they can also be distant, challenging and mysterious.
We are going to be doing lots of deep thinking and playing at The Geography Camp. For those who are coming it’s going to be a great opportunity to reflect on (y)our ‘deep’ geographies. In some sessions we will look to take this thinking further by expressing our thoughts through creative mediums.
Exactly how these sessions work and what we make will be very dependent on those who are taking part.. in many ways this is risky for everyone involved but then creativity is born from risk taking. Wine should help too.
To be clear we will be enjoy plenty of shallow geography too..
