Would you like to give 100 copies of Mission:Explore to kids?
March 19, 2011
We at The Geography Collective invest all of the royalties from our first Mission:Explore book in free copies for kids who can’t afford or would never usually be given a copy of the book. With the additional and kind support of Can of Worms Kids Press (our publisher) we are able to pass on one book for every eight sold.
We’ve got 100 books to be given to children and are are looking for a person or organisation to distribute them in an interesting way. They are worth a total of £599 and we want to make sure they get put to good use. To decide who is going to get them we are going to run a vote. Here is how it works.
Register an idea of how you are going to distribute the books on this form. You can enter as many as you like but it must be done before Friday 25th of March at 23:59 (GMT).
We will select a number of final ideas which will go forward to a public vote. These will simply be the ones that we like the most.
Between 28th and 31st of March voting will be open.
4. Winner announced!
On April 1st we will announce on this blog which idea has won.
Want to enter? Just click here.
Terms: Delivery is not included, the winner will be responsible for organising collection/delivery of the books, probably from London. Any private information entered into this form will not be shared with any third parties and will only be used for contacting you about this ‘competition’. By sharing your idea here you give us permission to publish it in any format in publicity connected to this competition. If you win the books we will asked you to write a little report on what happened to them.
