Ealing Gazette: It’s okay for kids to go out and play, says group
September 29, 2010
“A GROUP of play campaigners are calling on businesses to help families throw off the fear of the outside world and get children out exploring their environment.
The Geography Collective, authors of a book which provides advice and ideas to encourage kids to play outdoors, have developed software allowing parents and youngsters to track down activities in their area.
Geography Collective group member Dan Raven-Ellison said: “We’re hoping to turn the whole of Ealing into a big playground for children to have adventures and discover new places.”
Activities, or missions, show up in a iPhone app allowing users to locate and be guided through the games on their mobile phone, or by going online.”
